I stopped and shot a couple of piers along the coast on my way north. This is the one in Cayucos, CA. I was feeling more of a grungy/gritty type of pic to bring out the detail in this one.
I know these pier shots have been done a lot, but I thought I’d share one anyway. Theres something about all of the lines that are appealing to the eye.

OMG! That’s the best “pier shot” I’ve seen in a long time. I LOVE that grunge look for this. It’s wonderful when you put your own spin on a shot like this. Bravo!

Great capture! Small detail. Would like to see a little more cropped with the top foreground section of the pier.
I totally agree with you Rick. Just before I posted, I realized I should crop a bit more from the top for a better composition, but got lazy and hoped nobody would notice haha. Good eye!
