Wow its really been nearly a month since I last posted. I haven’t been shooting much lately, mostly just playing with photoshop, but thats about to change. I’ve been making lots of new contacts back here on the central coast, trying to find new clients. Tomorrow I’ll be shooting a woman and her horse on the beach around sunset. That should be fun. She offered riding lessons in exchange for photos.
I also have a shoot with a model on thursday and I’ll be working with a hair and makeup artist that I met recently. I’m sure we’ll get some amazing photos to share. Theres another model that wants to work with me soon as well. We actually taught preschool together a few years ago…small world.
Oh! I also made those amazing oreo truffles the other day. They’re super easy to make and very delicious. I definitely recommend making them this holiday season.
Oh. My. God. They’re so good. I made some again last night with a friend. We changed the recipe that I shared weeks ago. Sorry I can’t share a link to that post right now cuz I’m posting from my phone. I really just wanted to brag about how amazing these turned out because I just ate another one and have to tell somebody.
Last time I did a white chocolate shell. This time we used Safeway brand milk chocolate chips and I wanted to try Reese’s peanut butter chips. The Reese’s didn’t melt too well so we added a little oil to give it a better consistency. We also used some off brand Oreos, at her insistence. Don’t worry, I put my foot down when she wanted low fat anything.
Another thing we did different this time is we used the whole stick of cream cheese. Mostly because I did a bad job of supervising haha. It was totally fine though. We ended up with a creamier consistency.
The picture was something I just snapped really quick to make everyone on Facebook hate us. If the chocolate covered Oreo truffles look messy it’s all her fault. She wouldn’t let any drop of chocolate or peanut butter go to waste and the aesthetics suffered for it. The plan was to use half of each bag but we ended up getting gratuitous and melting both bags.
The Reese’s ones are still good, but the milk chocolate are amazing. You should definitely look up my Oreo truffles post and try this recipe out.
