So I used to live on the central coast, where Big Sur was within 3 hours of my house. I thought that was being spoiled. Now, I have more options, within closer driving distance. Yesterday, I decided to do a day trip down to Burney Falls, it was amazing, and then raced back to Mt. Shasta for sunset…which I barely caught, because it was hard finding an opening to see the volcano.
Seriously, the last bit of salmon light, and the glow around the valley was awesome. Not only did I have a view of Mt. Shasta, but I could also see Mt. McLoughlin to the left of Black Butte. You can sort of see it if you look at the larger image. Anyways, it was so beautiful taking this all in, that it made me swear a few times. Clearly, I’ve been spending too much time with east coasters, if thats my response.
This was just a straight up shot from the default camera app. Very minimal edit in snapseed to boost the saturation by 12 and raise the ambiance slightly.
Beautiful!!
Amazing & breathtaking capture!
Thank you 🙂
You’re very welcome. My pleasure!
What a view!
You have no idea! The photo doesn’t even do it justice.
That always happens, doesn’t it. You did a good job though 🙂
So true and thank you 🙂
