It’s been two and a half weeks since I moved my grandmother to a memory care facility. That was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, btw. She’s doing just fine now, though. We didn’t tell her this was the move, but I think she’s figured it out.
I really thought I would have my freedom back, along with tons of time to create, once we went through with the move. Unfortunately, I’ve been pretty busy taking care of the house, planning a nearly 3 week trip to the east coast for October, getting ready to move to Oregon in a few weeks, and driving 200 miles for my niece and nephew’s birthdays…twice.
It may be a few more weeks before I have time to refocus on my creativity. In the meantime, I’m writing an essay on the impact having a creative outlet has on my life. Keep an eye out for a blog tour Shannon and I are hosting on this topic. We have a good number of talented people who are sharing their thoughts as well.
And now, a chicken portrait I did a few weeks back. I can’t believe I didn’t share it sooner, after going through all the trouble of editing this one. I used TangledFX, Mextures, and Snapseed for the edit.
