My last word is that it all depends on what you visualize.
Before I get to this picture, I want to say something about the quote. I think some of my coolest photos are ones that I’ve visualized ahead of time. I know of other great photographers that do this as well, so there must be something to it. Before you go shoot your portraits, wedding, events, landscapes, or whatever, take some time to relax and visualize what the photos will look like before you get out there.
You should also get in the habit of seeing what your final product will look like when you’re out in the field, not what actually lies before you. I used to see things in high contrast black and white. These days I think I see more in HDR.
Now, about this image, yesterday I saw something with an interesting design on it, and instead of taking a regular picture of it, I thought I’d use Kaleidoscope camera. I boosted the contrast, saturation, and sharpened a bit. Done.
