I made my way over to Santa Cruz the day before Thanksgiving, to give myself some much needed me time. I miss the fresh ocean air of the central coast. You would too, if you saw disgusting smog in the air most of the time. Anyways, there were surfers all over the place and everyone seemed to have the same idea I did. The weather was perfect, about 68 degrees and sunny.
I drove for a while until I saw a spot with just a couple of cars on the side of the road. This turned out to be Bonny Doon beach. It’s a dangerous walk down a very steep, rocky path. When I made it down, there was an old naked guy frolicking on the beach by himself, which I seem to find too often in the bay area beaches I visit. It’s always men, never women haha. Anyways…
I set the iPhone up on a tripod and used the super wide angle iPro lens, which I’m starting to like more and more. Shot with ProHDR. This is the original.
Here is the image after a Snapseed edit. Looks pretty good, at this point.
How about something more dramatic. I used SimplyHDR, for the texture, vignette, and detail. Then, I sued Tadaa for a little added clarity.
I’m enjoying photograpy with my iPhone again thanks to a broken Nikon and the iPro lenses
