I spent quite a bit of time waiting in this room on friday. There were signs plastered everywhere about turning your cell phone off. I reluctantly did….for a while. Then I got bored and challenged myself to find an interesting shot in this hell hole waiting room.
I wanted to capture the mood I’m sure everyone feels when they see this exam table. Cold. Uninviting. A little depressing. Sure, the composition is slightly off, but thats what happens when you’re trying to get a quick shot in before a nurse or doctor catches you using your phone.
The doctor worked really hard to try and figure out whats going on. Unfortunately, this pain I’m having in the upper right abdomen is difficult to diagnose. The first tests came back normal, meaning theres no infection. Now there are more tests and a CT scan to take care of this week.

I suppose that’s one bonus, the fact that there’s no infection
Yeah. Its one less thing to worry about. Although I might prefer that over a kidney stone if thats what this turns out to be.
Erk! Yeah
You captured your intentions perfectly. Putting it in black and white makes it even more cold, uninviting and depressing. I sure hope that can figure out what’s wrong and fix it for you.
Thank you. I was surprised how well it came out. The waiting room is an awful place for photos haha.
Hope you are on the mend soon…I always just turn the ringer off on my phone, and i use it as needed until the doctor comes in. Don’t let them intimidate you!!! I think they just want it off so that it doesn’t ring while you’re talking to the doctor or during the exam.
Can’t wait for the pic inside the CT!
Just kidding! I hope they find a reason for your pain soon and the recovery can start. Lots of better subjects outside hospitals
crossing things off the list is always a relief but frustrating as it does nothing to cure your ills. Good luck
Definitely how I feel.
