Sometimes you come upon something you like, but its not possible to get the shot because of obstacles in the way. Yesterday I went to this old abandoned bridge to get a few pictures. The problem was I couldn’t get the whole bridge in frame because of a tree on the left that had grown around part of it. Also, if I had backed up to take in the whole scene, there was a barricade with a sign that you can see part of in the bottom left.
It seemed like there was no way to get what I wanted. I still decided to take a few pics with camera+ and try to figure something out in post.
I thought using a symmetry filter in FX Photo Studio could be interesting because of all the lines in the above image. The result was so much better than I anticipate. The symmetry filter ended up creating a bridge with a better composition and it doesn’t look like an obvious fake.
The only other editing I did was use the Clarity filter in camera+ before using FX Photo Studio, and I used TouchRetouch to remove the sign from both sides of the new image.

Great job on this David. Terrific shot.
Wow, that turned out super!
Way to save it!
